About me

The Full Story
At my practice, the focus is on providing humane and patient-centered care, backed by years of scientific and clinical experience. As a former chief resident in psychopharmacology and neuromodulation, and with work experience as a medical director for a med-psych unit, I have a deep understanding of how mental health issues impact the lives of individuals, and and lifelong passion for helping find solutions to those issues. I am dedicated to providing patients with the best possible care, using a multidisciplinary approach tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
I continue to serve as a lead therapist in a Psilocybin trial, and has experience as a subinvestigator for ketamine trials. I have a particular interest in psychedelic science, as well as other novel methods of treating depression, PTSD and alcoholism. I am trained in administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and have expertise in other non-pharmacologic treatments for psychiatric disease. A list of my peer reviewed research can be found here.
Focus
I recognize that reaching out for mental health support can be daunting, and feelings of being unsupported can add to that struggle. If past treatment experiences have left you feeling frustrated, I’d like to present a different approach. In my practice, I focus on:
- Collaborative model: Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan tailored to you, whether it involves medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of these.
- Communication style: I welcome your questions and feedback. Your perspective is vital, and I aim empower you in your care.
- Flexible Options: I provide telehealth appointments and strive to make scheduling as convenient as possible.
- Compassionate Support: I understand that mental health care is not one-size-fits-all. My aim is to deliver personalized care that aligns with your needs.
If previous experiences with psychiatry have left you feeling discouraged, I be happy to discuss what hasn’t worked and how we can progress together.
